Your HOA Board has long believed our CCRs were drafted incorrectly, were different from the Declarant’s other communities – and were in conflict with NC’s governing 47F. The board unsuccessfully sought a meeting with the Declarant since 2019.
In February 2023, the Declarant invited Board officers Chris Schroder and Charlie Owens to lunch, during which we handed over examples of governance issues – and copies of our neighborhood’s 2022 collective proposal to amend the CCRs.
Last month, Empire Management alerted owners that new Amendments were filed by the Declarant. The board has since discovered a previous amendment, assigning two private boatslips to HOA governance.
