One sound I don’t hear as often as I’d like to around The Enclave is birdsong. I thought I’d try to help, installing five bluebird houses in January 2022. Both springs I’ve seen signs of life in at least four of them.
I was bragging last week to my friend Ed, one of many folks from our region I’ve hired to get stuff done around our lot. (The older I get, the more I’ve learned to delegate.) “You don’t want bluebirds,” Ed said. “They prey on other birds.”
Guess I’ll have to invest in a few different varieties of new birdhouses.
