Recovering from Hurricane Helene

by The 100 Companies

The Enclave was spared much of the Hurricane Helene damage that we see throughout Western North Carolina, so for that we are thankful. Nevertheless, many of our docks were damaged and repairs will cost thousands of dollars.

Life as we know it on Lake James will not return to normal for many months or years. The once-pristine waters fed by the Linville and Catawba rivers are now mud red, hiding the metal and wooden structures and equipment floating just below the surface.

Meanwhile, we are thankful for the generosity of our neighbors who are helping those less fortunate to recover.
