Founding board member Fred McMahan dies at age 72

by The 100 Companies

Enclave property owner and founding board member Fred McMahan died August 25 after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by widow, Natalie, two daughters, including board member Amy Surrett, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Fred’s obituary can be read here. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for October 21. RSVP to attend here.

Despite health issues, Fred was always a positive, knowledgeable board member. Because he spent his life on and around Lake James, hunting and fishing on land that later became The Enclave, he provided much-needed wisdom, history and local contacts to the board.

He’ll be greatly missed.

– Chris Schroder, President, The HOA Board of Directors
