Welcome To Our Community Of Friends And Family

by Margaret Willard
Eric LaPrad

On behalf of the Board of Directors at The Enclave, I would like to welcome each and every one of you to (what I consider) the most beautiful lake in North Carolina … Lake James. I think I can speak for most of us who are fortunate and blessed to own a lot (or more) in The Enclave when I say Lake James is the biggest reason we bought. What a special place … nestled in the foothills of the Pisgah National Forest, with deer and turkeys wandering through our lots, and a gorgeous clear lake being filled daily with clean, fresh mountain water. I’ve been known to call it my happy place.

Then there’s our wonderful community, The Enclave. It’s a beautiful gated community with rolling hills, pine forests, and a few beautiful new homes going up. The goal of this Board is to protect the Association’s assets by preserving the beauty of the neighborhood and allow it to develop and grow into one of the best communities on the lake. Each decision we make is with your best interests at heart. We want to continue to maintain your property values, which are our property values. We’re in this thing together as a team.

We’ve been working hard since the first board elect was formed in 2019 to have the developer fix the erosion issues throughout the development, clean up left behind materials, get new grass growing, maintain the entrance and common areas with mulch, keep the gates in good working order, the landscape and beach areas maintained, roads clear of trees and debris, develop a Facebook group (click here to join The Enclave at Lake James) to help open communications, paint trees purple and hang signs to deter hunting and trespassing, and countless other items. We’re even developing The Enclave 100, our own newsletter. We’re also hoping to put together our first Meet and Greet Cookout July 17 down by our community beach, marina, and fire pit. Look for details in this issue and in upcoming communications.

It’s exciting, but it’s also a lot of work. We’re also looking to put together committees to bring the community even closer. So if you want to get involved, we’d love to have you join a committee.

In closing, I want to express my gratitude for allowing me and the rest of the Board of Directors to act on your behalf, and lead our community in a direction where we think is best for all of us. I am honored to serve as your President, and would like to thank you for your time, patience, and any comments, concerns, questions, or thoughts/ideas you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of the board members as we are here for you. Welcome to “The Enclave at Lake James. Our Community of Friends and Family.”

Sincerely,

Eric LaPrad
